“職業婦女”和“家庭婦女”的區别似乎是很清楚的，不過在我的印象中，并不是所有“有職業”的女性都被稱為“職業婦女”，比如家庭服務人員——保姆。似乎約定俗成，在我國，“職業婦女”大緻是指受過一定教育的、具有良好的職業道德、從事某方面專業工作的女性，比如工程技術人員、科技工作者、國家幹部、教師、醫生、律師、編輯、記者、公司職員、企業家等等，那些既漂亮又莊重的“職業女裝”大都是為她們設計的。

The distinction between “career women” and “housewives ” is seemingly clear. But in my mind, not all women who have careers can be called as “career women”, for instance, family service staff— nannies. In China, it seems to be established a custom that “career women” are some women who basically have education, good work ethics and work in professional fields, such as engineers, technicians, technologic and scientific workers, state cadres, teachers, doctors, lawyers, editors, journalists, company employees or entrepreneurs, etc. Those beautiful and decent “career women costumes” are basically designed for them.

“職業婦女”的職業角色隻是女性諸多角色中的一個，女性若把職業角色帶回家，必慘遭失敗。所以，“職業婦女”也還是，或者也還應該是“家庭婦女”——當她在家的時候。她要像“家庭婦女”一樣，傾心于家庭生活，才能從中得到在職業生涯中得不到的東西。

The professional role of “career women” is just the one of roles among women. It would be doomed to be a total failure if women play the career role at home. Therefore, “career women” are also, or should be, “housewives” when they are at home. They should dedicate to the life of households just like “housewives”. Only in this way, women could gain something that they cannot from their career life.

雖然有人說，職業婦女面臨職業與家庭的雙重壓力，但“職業”給與女性的不僅僅是“錢”——一份生活的保障，它還給了女性自我價值的實現和社交需求的滿足。在家庭勞動的價值得不到應有承認的社會裡，女性需要“職業”這樣一個獲取心理滿足的渠道。

Although someone says that career women face double stress from both the life of career and family, yet what a career gives women is not only money but also a security of life. Also, it gives women the accomplishment of self-value and satisfaction of social demands. Women need a career, a medium for obtaining mental satisfaction, under the circumstance that the value of family work cannot be recognized in the society.

我相信，有“職業”不僅是經濟需要，也是女性的心理需要。女性在職業生涯中，往往能比在家庭生活中獲得更多的自尊和自信，因此“職業婦女”的心理健康程度高于“家庭婦女”。研究還證明，女性走出家庭，走向社會，對孩子的影響并不是負面的，對女孩的正面影響更為突出。所以，職業婦女不必因不能更多地和孩子在一起而内疚。

I believe, a career is not only a financial need for women, but also a psychological one. In career life, generally, women gain more self-esteem and self-assurance compared to family life. So, the degree of psychological health of career women is higher than housewives. Research also proves that the impact on children given by women when they go out from their families and go into the society is not negative. Conversely, the positive impact is predominant. So, it is unnecessary that career women feel guilty just because they cannot spend more time with their children.
